Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter on WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was an anchor for morning news for WCBD TV and also as an investigative reporter. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's stories regarding the police's lenient approach to DUI cases led to the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to State authorities issuing the strictest guidelines regarding the instances. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. In the years following her stint in Charleston O'Dell served as co-anchor and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to her move to Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. Alongside her role as anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also a contributor to NBC News' Today and as well for Dateline NBC. The anchor has hosted a number of pre-show arrivals for The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. Other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
